Satellite Photo El Salvador: Discover El Salvador Maps, the Country’s Official Mapping Platform.

If you’re looking for updated satellite photos of El Salvador, the government’s official platform El Salvador Maps is now available to the public worldwide. Developed by the National Registry Center (CNR), this tool offers high-resolution imagery and detailed geographic data, making it easier than ever to explore the country remotely.

Launched several months ago, El Salvador Maps provides access to orthophotos, 3D models, LiDAR point clouds, 360° panoramas, and terrain data—covering all 20,742.5 km² of national territory. The imagery reaches up to 10 cm resolution and includes key locations like San Salvador’s Historic Center, Surf City, and all departmental capitals.

Designed for both general users and technical professionals, the platform supports urban planning, environmental analysis, real estate development, and more. According to Camilo Trigueros, Executive Director of the CNR, “El Salvador Maps is a gateway to a modern, connected, and data-driven country.”

The initiative is part of El Salvador’s digital transformation strategy. In partnership with Google, some of the platform’s features are also being integrated into Google Maps and Google Earth, expanding global access to current satellite photos of El Salvador.

Whether you’re researching the country, planning a project, or just curious, El Salvador Maps offers an easy way to explore the nation’s landscape with precision and clarity.
