El Salvador Advances Investment Planning for Surf City Expansion.

El Salvador is taking significant steps to enhance infrastructure and services in the La Libertad Este corridor, a key area leading to Surf City, the country’s flagship tourism project. Authorities are currently reviewing partial plans for large-scale consolidated projects aimed at fostering sustainable and well-equipped urban developments.

The goal is to ensure that these projects provide essential services such as healthcare, transportation, education, and commerce, integrating them into a broader vision of urban expansion. By working closely with investors, the government seeks to create new central districts from scratch, transforming the region into a hub for economic growth and tourism.

The initiative is being led by COAMSS/OPAMSS, under the direction of Executive Director Luis Rodríguez, with the involvement of key officials, including Miguel Kattán and Morena Valdez, who are actively engaged in shaping the development strategy. These efforts align with El Salvador’s commitment to modernizing infrastructure, boosting investment, and strengthening the country’s appeal as a prime destination for both residents and visitors.

With Surf City already established as a world-class surfing and tourism hotspot, the expansion of services and infrastructure in La Libertad Este will further enhance its attractiveness and long-term sustainability.
