A delegation of eight German companies specializing in security, cybersecurity, identity technologies, civil protection, and emergency infrastructure has arrived in El Salvador today to explore potential business alliances and expand their regional presence. This visit, coordinated by the German-Salvadoran Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), aims to strengthen the commercial ties between Germany and El Salvador, connecting local businesses with innovative technologies and opportunities.

As part of the initiative, AHK will host the conference German Technologies and Services for Civil Security on February 20 at the Barceló Hotel in San Salvador. The event will feature presentations on the latest trends in security technology, followed by business meetings that will allow Salvadoran companies to connect with German leaders in the field.
Karla Klaus, president of AHK El Salvador, highlighted the chamber’s role in fostering collaboration between German and Salvadoran businesses. «These actions reaffirm AHK’s commitment to being the strategic bridge between our two countries, promoting investment and technology transfer in critical sectors for regional development,» she said.
The visit also coincides with Klaus assuming the regional presidency of the Central American Chamber with Germany (AHK ZAKK), strengthening El Salvador’s leadership in advancing trade and economic relations between Central America and Germany. Under Klaus’s leadership, the AHK ZAKK will continue to promote initiatives aimed at attracting investments, particularly in the areas of clean energy, solid waste management, and civil security.
Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be a pivotal year for strengthening business relations, with several German business delegations expected to visit the region. «We are proud of this important step and reaffirm our commitment to boosting trade and economic ties between Central America and Germany,» Klaus said.
This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening El Salvador’s role as a regional hub for international business and collaboration.
