El Salvador continues to strengthen its economic ties with Spain as Spanish businessmen and women participate in a roundtable to explore future investment opportunities in the country. The meeting, which took place today, was organized by El Salvador’s Minister of Economy, Maria Luisa Hayem, alongside Spanish Ambassador Sonia Álvarez Cibanal. It brought together both Spanish and Salvadoran entrepreneurs keen on fostering stronger business relations.

Minister Hayem highlighted the country’s favorable economic climate, stressing the investment potential available for Spanish companies. She emphasized that new investors were eager to witness firsthand the opportunities El Salvador offers. This dialogue also served to pave the way for expanding existing investments in the country.
Ambassador Álvarez Cibanal noted the strong interest from Spanish businessmen across various sectors who are eager to either start new ventures or expand their operations in El Salvador. “They are very interested in increasing their investments and enhancing their presence here,” she explained, adding that several companies are already exploring opportunities to establish themselves in the Central American nation.

This meeting reflects El Salvador’s commitment to fostering international partnerships, with the government working actively to create an environment conducive to growth and economic development.
