Cultural Exchange Event in Fujisawa Highlights Salvadoran-Japanese Friendship.

In a vibrant celebration of culture and friendship, the Embassy of El Salvador in Japan hosted a cultural event in Fujisawa, the city that welcomed the Salvadoran Olympic team during the Tokyo 2021 Games. The event aimed to bring the customs and traditions of El Salvador closer to the people of Japan, particularly the youth.

Participants of all ages enjoyed a day filled with traditional Salvadoran dances, games, and flavorful dishes. “We are delighted to share Salvadoran customs with the new generations, fostering strong bonds of friendship with Japan,” said Ambassador Diego Daltón during the event.

Fujisawa Mayor Tsuneo Suzuki expressed his commitment to deepening the ties between the two nations, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration.

The day concluded with a Salvadoran cuisine workshop, offering a hands-on experience with the country’s unique flavors. Through these Public Diplomacy initiatives, El Salvador showcases the significant transformations happening within the country, while building lasting connections with Japan.
