The Consulate General of El Salvador in New York, in collaboration with the Salvadoran Coffee Institute, recently hosted the event “A Taste of El Salvador’s Coffee.” This initiative aimed to highlight the quality and diversity of Salvadoran coffee and promote specialty Salvadoran coffee to potential buyers in and around New York.
Six Salvadoran producers from the Ethiopia, Helvetia, La Esperanza, Corporación Salaverría, Volcánica, and Finca Urrutia farms conducted the tasting. They had the opportunity to present various varieties of Salvadoran coffee.
The event attracted representatives from coffee shops, roasters, and distributors in New York, who enjoyed the different varieties of Salvadoran coffee. This gathering successfully established a commercial link with potential specialty coffee buyers in New York, USA.
