Salvadoran Coffee Producers Extend Congratulations and Gratitude to President Nayib Bukele.

The Salvadoran Coffee Growers Association (Acafesal) extends warm congratulations to President Nayib Bukele and Vice President Félix Ulloa for their recent electoral victory on February 4. The coffee producers expressed their appreciation for the support received from the 2019-2024 administration, emphasizing its significant role in the development of the sector and the promotion of Salvadoran coffee on the international stage.

In an official statement posted on their «X» account, the country’s primary coffee producers’ guild conveyed their delight with the election results, securing another five years for the current government. Acafesal highlighted the collaborative efforts with the government in fostering the growth of the coffee industry.

«We want to express our gratitude for the support received from the previous administration (2019-2024), both at the national level through projects and programs and internationally with visits to several states in the United States, promoting our coffee brand (Acafesal),» stated the press release.

Sergio Ticas, President of Acafesal, emphasized the support provided by the Bukele administration, enabling coffee farmers to access fair prices in the international markets. The association sees this as a crucial step towards ensuring the sustainability and economic well-being of coffee growers in the country.

The press release concluded by reaffirming the commitment of Salvadoran coffee producers to collaborate in the formulation of a new coffee policy during this second term. This policy aims to address the challenges posed by climate change and fluctuating international coffee prices.
