The Diplomatic Representation at the Holy See recently took part in the Central American Sacred Art Exhibition, aptly named “Gaudium,” where paintings, sculptures, and regional crafts were put on display.
Visitors had the opportunity to admire the works of the Salvadoran artist Fernando Llort, who, during his lifetime, beautifully portrayed religious symbols and scenes through his distinctive, artisanal style, which he popularized in La Palma, Chalatenango.
The exhibition also showcased the pieces of Salvadoran ceramist César Sermeno, who was similarly renowned for his religious and spiritual iconography.
Additionally, attendees had the chance to view the creations of Dagoberto Gómez, a Salvadoran artist residing in Milan, known for his exquisite sacred crafts.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of our ambassador to the Holy See, Anabella Machuca, along with ambassadors and diplomats from Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Honduras.
