This diplomatic mission not only aimed to foster friendly relations between the two cultures but also opened doors for collaboration.
During her visit, Mira held discussions with Mansoor Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud, the CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), to explore opportunities in logistics and passenger and cargo transport. The Pacific Train and Airport were of particular interest to the QIA, and a working visit was agreed upon. Furthermore, Akbar Al Baker, the CEO of Qatar Airways, expressed interest in establishing both passenger and cargo routes. Collaborations in trade and food-related investments were also on the agenda, reflecting the diverse areas of engagement between Salvadoran authorities and their Qatari counterparts.
The meeting between President Bukele and Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani signifies a significant step towards strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations. As discussions continue, the potential for collaborative efforts across various sectors promises to bring about positive developments for El Salvador’s future.
