The Embassy of El Salvador accredited in South Korea marked a significant presence at the 25th World Scout Jamboree, a global event that took place from August 1st to 12th in the heart of South Korea. A delegation of 49 compatriots, comprising both youth and adults, had the honor of participating in this international gathering.
This prestigious event drew over 40,000 participants from 160 countries, creating a unique platform for our young representatives to showcase the vibrant culture, art, and gastronomy of El Salvador on the global stage.
The diplomatic mission played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the Salvadoran contingent. Offering unwavering support, the Embassy provided essential resources, organized logistical arrangements, and ensured immediate consular assistance to guarantee the well-being of the participants. The diplomatic representatives also made on-site visits to the campsite to assess conditions and engage with the Salvadoran delegation, fostering a sense of unity and support.
Collaborative efforts extended beyond the campsite as well. The Salvadoran diplomats held meetings with relevant Korean authorities to discuss security measures and emergency assistance protocols, reaffirming their commitment to the safety and welfare of their fellow compatriots.
An integral aspect of this journey was the cooperation with local entities. The delegation received warm hospitality from the Anyang Municipality and Hyundai, a leading Korean corporation. These partners ensured that the Salvadoran participants had a positive and enriching experience during their stay in South Korea, aligning seamlessly with the spirit of the Jamboree Mobile.
Ambassador Maria Gutierrez expressed her pride in the accomplishments of the Salvadoran delegation and praised the collaborative efforts that made this participation possible. “The World Scout Jamboree embodies the essence of unity, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding.
