The Ministry of Education has delivered a fully renovated infrastructure and furnished classrooms at the Altavista School Center, in a move that will benefit more than 1,800 students from Ilopango, Tonacatepeque, and San Martín under the My New School initiative.

Minister of Education, José Mauricio Pineda, expressed his delight at the transformation of the Altavista School Center, stating, “At present, more than 1,800 children and adolescents from three neighboring municipalities attend this school and will be the primary beneficiaries of this educational reform.” He added that bringing good news to every school they visit brings him immense joy and satisfaction, while also energizing him to continue working towards improving educational centers.

The Ministry of Education (Mined) officially handed over the Altavista School Center in Tonacatepeque, which has undergone a complete infrastructure and furniture overhaul. This initiative is part of the Government’s efforts, led by President Bukele, to create optimal pedagogical spaces.

For over two decades, thousands of students have been educated at this institution. However, it was only under the current government that the school’s infrastructure received a comprehensive renovation.

“The leadership of President Nayib Bukele is transforming the public education system, taking giant strides towards modernization and equal opportunities, and dignifying the lives of thousands of students, teachers, and parents throughout the country,” said the Ministry of Education.

The official emphasized that they now provide dignified and suitable educational environments to ensure that many generations of students continue their learning processes under the best conditions, as envisaged by the educational reform.

The renovation of the Altavista School Center represents a significant milestone in the country’s educational landscape, as it sets the stage for enhanced learning experiences and paves the way for a brighter future for El Salvador’s youth. The modernized facilities and upgraded infrastructure align with the government’s commitment to offering quality education to all its citizens.

President Bukele’s administration continues to focus on education as a key priority, striving to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students across the nation. The My New School initiative is a testament to the dedication and determination of the government to improve the educational system, providing students with the tools they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

The transformative impact of the Altavista School Center’s renovation extends beyond the physical aspects. It symbolizes a fresh start for the education sector, where students are at the center of the government’s efforts to foster growth, knowledge, and innovation.

As El Salvador takes bold steps towards educational excellence, it is evident that investing in the nation’s youth will yield positive outcomes for the country’s development and prosperity. With this renewed commitment to education, El Salvador is laying the foundation for a brighter and more promising future for generations to come.
