El Salvador is continuously positioning itself as a relevant tourist destination for people around the world. This was evidenced by the arrival of the Eurodam cruise ship in Salvadorian waters on Monday morning.
The Holland American Line cruise ship, Eurodam, arrived at the Port of Acajutla with 2,600 tourists on board, all eager to explore El Salvador’s tourism attractions. The Eurodam has El Salvador as its main destination, with Mexico and Colombia being the next stops on their itinerary.
The more than 2,000 international tourists aboard the Eurodam will be touring San Salvador, which includes visits to archaeological sites such as Joya de Cerén and San Andrés, located in the western region, as well as the town of Nahuizalco.
The arrival of these cruise ships with international tourists confirms the country’s advancements in the tourism industry. This success can be attributed, in large part, to the public safety strategies that have made El Salvador an attractive and secure destination for visitors.
