President Nayib Bukele offers support for Türkiye after the earthquake.

The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, expressed all the support from El Salvador to Turkey after the violent and ferocious earthquake that shook that region of the world on Sunday night, affecting the Turkish nation and a large part of Syria.

Through his Twitter account, President Bukele expressed his condolences for the hard time that the Turkish people and the entire region are going through, in turn assuring that El Salvador is in a position to offer “all the necessary help.”

“El Salvador prays for the safety and well-being of the Turkish people after the strong earthquake in southern Turkey. My government is willing to provide all the necessary help to the government of President Erdoğan to overcome this disastrous event,” Bukele published.

Last Sunday night (Salvadoran time), a magnitude 7.8 earthquake shook southern Turkey and northern Syria. Until this early morning, international media reports that there have been over 900 deaths and over 5,000 injuries.
