El Salvador’s bitcoin ecosystem stands out in Austria

Within the framework of the month of celebration of the first year of implementation of the Bitcoin Law, the Minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adriana Mira, participated in the Bitcoin Conference that was held in Innsbruck, Austria , between September 15 and 17.

At the event, the Salvadoran officials were part of a panel in English, where bitcoiners from around the world made inquiries about the opportunities and challenges that the approval of bitcoin as legal tender has meant.

On the other hand, the head of economy listed the investments and projects that have resulted after the adoption of the cryptoactive; In addition, she highlighted the increase in the flow of tourists that the territory has experienced as a result of the implementation of the crypto law.

“This conference made it possible to exchange experiences with renowned personalities on issues of economic development, investment, and bitcoin in El Salvador,” the minister explained via Twitter.

Prior to participating in the conference, the government representatives held two business meetings. One of the meetings was with the Startup and Innovation Center called “INNCUBATOR,” and another with the CEO of the company Tirol Holding, Josef Margreiter.

“We share the initiatives achieved for the financial inclusion of our country and how we are advancing in programs to strengthen our innovation ecosystem in the government of President Nayib Bukele,” concluded Hayem.
