Guaranteeing the safety of Salvadorans is one of the priorities of the government of President Nayib Bukele. Today, the Director of the National Civil Police (PNC), Mauricio Arriaza Chicas, received state-of-the-art equipment from Minister Gustavo Villatoro.
These are: 1,000 Arad rifles, 1,000 pistols, and 3,000 vests. These new tools will also allow police elements to continue fighting terrorists and all kinds of crimes.
According to Commissioner Arriaza Chicas, the weapons will be distributed to the human talents of the Tactical Operational Units, to strengthen the work in the territory that the police develops day by day in both urban and rural areas.
“We are grateful for the management of our President, Nayib Bukele, who continues to strengthen our institution and also dignifies the work that each one of the blue heroes develops,” said the official.
At a press conference, Arriaza assured that they will continue to provide the necessary tools so that the agents carry out their valuable work in the most optimal way, “which is nothing more than looking after the life and property of Salvadorans.”
For his part, Minister Gustavo Villatoro stressed that they have a commitment as a true State of Law that invests in law enforcement so that they have the best equipment and the best weapons.
