Salvadoran government addresses strategic projects with senior Avianca executives

This Wednesday, the president of the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA), Federico Anliker, held a meeting with senior executives of Avianca, with the aim of addressing the execution of new strategic projects in the country.

Adrián Neuhauser, CEO of Avianca Holdings, was present at the meeting, held at the San Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport.

Among the points highlighted by the president of CEPA are the expansion of the air terminal facilities, in addition to the expansion of aircraft parking and the general modernization of the airport.

On the other hand, Anliker indicated that more than 288,000 passengers have been served since the inauguration of the new terminal.

“From February 9 to date, in the new passenger terminal, we have served 282,510 passengers in entries, exits, transits, and transfers,” Anliker said during the meeting.

On the other hand, he explained that the strategies of the Salvadoran government, and the improvement in services “have allowed us to attract foreign investment and have positive results: more than 2.2 million passengers served; more than 22,800 commercial flight operations so far in 2022 ».

He reported that, from January 1 to date, 19 million kg of imports and exports have been moved at the air cargo terminal, so far in 2022.

In addition, he highlighted that “we have an increase of 55% in passenger service and 35% more in commercial passenger flight operations, compared to 2021.”

“For us, it is also very important to learn about your new projects and the vision you have, to continue working hand in hand as your strategic allies,” Anliker pointed out during the meeting.
