The President Nayib Bukele confirmed on Thursday night through his official Twitter account the arrival of a new shipment of Lenovo tablets, which will be delivered to Salvadoran students in the public system.
The president pointed out that the tablets will be delivered to students from 1st to 3rd grade in the country’s public school system, emphasizing that students from 4th grade to high school are receiving laptops as part of the support for their school activities.
“All the new Lenovo tablets have arrived for our children from 1st to 3rd grade (from 4th grade to high school, we are giving out laptops). The young people of our Links with Education program are preparing them for delivery in the coming weeks,” president Bukele posted.
«With the new equipment, the new applications, the improvement in connectivity and the commitment to completely breaking the digital divide, we will advance in the education of our children and young people by leaps and bounds. Step by step, we will change our country, also in education », he added.
The delivery of laptops and tablets has been one of the strategies that the government has used to eliminate the digital divide in El Salvador and contribute to the improvement of the country’s educational system, providing adequate tools to all Salvadoran students.
