The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, announced that the authorities will have a new armored vehicle to combat crime after the government acquired the YAGU off-road vehicles.

Through a publication on his Twitter account, the president released a video in which the SandCat armored combat vehicles are transported in vans.

«Did you like the YAGU? Well, the SandCats are on the way… And then others will be on the way, but I’ll show you those later,” said President Bukele.

Similarly, he stressed that, without the phases of the Territorial Control Plan, the results obtained so far in the fight against crime would be impossible:

“Without Phases 1, 3 and 4 of the Territorial Control Plan, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to have the results we are having in the War Against Gangs.”
