The Minister of Agriculture highlights the results of the «Sembrando Vida» program that has helped 10,000 Salvadorans

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Enrique Parada, highlighted the results of the «Sembrando Vida» and «Jóvenes Construyendo Futuro» programs, the result of cooperation between Mexico and El Salvador. These programs are often criticized by the political opposition.

«The project that the opposition said had been a robbery. The results speak for themselves and once again, the opponents are liars» — said the minister in a message posted on his official Twitter account.

Thanks to the efforts to strengthen international cooperation ties in the country, led by President Nayib Bukele, the government of Mexico will double the aid for the «Sembrando Vida» and «Jóvenes Construyendo Futuro» programs in the national territory so that they continue to benefit youth and farmers.

The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, celebrated during his recent visit to the country the results of the projects to improve the quality of life of people in conditions of vulnerability.

The president highlighted that Sembrando Vida has helped 10,000 small farmers. 99% of the participants increased the consumption of their products, while 34% claimed to have experienced a positive impact on their natural environment. Ten of the 14 departments in El Salvador are covered by this program.

Sembrando Vida arrived in the country in July 2019, and since then more than 10,000 Salvadorans have benefited from monthly economic support of $250.00, agricultural supplies and technical support, among others.
