More than 10,000 gang members have been captured

President Nayib Bukele reported this Tuesday on the number of gang members thanks to the exception regime to fight back the gangs.

According to the Head of State, a total of “10,094 terrorists were arrested in 17 days”, while the operations of the National Civil Police (PNC) and the Armed Forces continue in different parts of the country.

The government of President Bukele has launched wars against criminal structures with the purpose of bringing peace and tranquility to communities that have been living in anxiety for decades.

Since the start of the emergency regime, the Security Cabinet has dealt heavy blows to the gangs. In addition, the erasure of graffiti and messages alluding to these criminal structures continues in different areas of the country.
