The Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, explained that they are planning to receive more than 170,000 visitors during the Easter holidays, which means an approximate income of $160 million for the country.
“According to statistics, of the more than 200 thousand people that migration will receive, more than 170 thousand will be doing tourism in El Salvador, and will leave more than $160 million in income and foreign currency” — she explained.
The minister reiterated that El Salvador has everything to have one of the best Easter holidays. “We are one of the five countries without restrictions on entering. However, let’s not let our guard down. We must continue to take care of ourselves from COVID19 ″ — she pointed out.
For his part, the president of the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA), Federico Anliker, said that they expect more than 35,000 people to enter the territory through the Monseñor Oscar Arnulfo Romero airport.
At the same time, he explained that the 2022 Vacation Plan will be activated from April 8 to 20, which will be made up of personnel from CEPA, the National Civil Police, and the Vice Ministry of Transportation, among others.
