The new Minister of Education, Mauricio Pineda, supervised today the transport of materials for the readjustment and repair of different educational centers nationwide.
“We are starting a deployment where this administration wants educational centers to have adequate spaces for effective learning” — said the Minister during a press conference.
The head of education explained that, upon the arrival of the government of President Bukele, 60% of the infrastructure of educational centers was damaged.
Among the educational centers that will receive the supplies for their renovation are: Los Almendros School Center, in Acajutla, Sonsonate; Canton Casa de Piedra School Center, San Marcos, San Salvador; Canton Las Flores School Center, Tonacatepeque, San Salvador; and Santa Teresa School Center, San Bartolo canton, in Chalatenango.
“We will gradually reach all the educational centers until we cover the country” — reported Pineda.
Due to the abandonment of previous governments, schools have deteriorated. The government of the president, Nayib Bukele, has allocated an investment of $44.4 million for the readjustment of schools.
