The Minister of Education of El Salvador, Carla Hananía de Varela, announced that yesterday she held a virtual meeting with the new Secretary of Education of Honduras, Daniel Sponda, because he was interested in learning about the successes that the Ministry of Education has had during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have had a first approach with the entire team, and later we will hold a meeting by topic in which we will invite other state portfolios to share with Honduras the safe return to classes in an optional blended manner,” — the Salvadoran Minister of Education wrote on Twitter.
For his part, the Honduran Secretary of Education thanked him for the opportunity to learn about the work carried out by the State Portfolio of El Salvador.
“Thank you very much, Minister. This meeting is a clear example that the vision of [Francisco] Morazán of a strong and twinned Central America is possible. The Central American peoples must walk together towards development. Count on us in everything we can collaborate on” —wrote Sponda.
