On the night of February 3, as part of the highly effective operations of the Territorial Control Plan, the personnel of the Coastal Police Division seized a boat three nautical miles from El Espino Beach. They seized 300 kg of cocaine that was crossing the area of El Espino, Jucuarán, Usulután at that time.
When carrying out the search, they found 7 packages containing 300 kilograms of cocaine, valued at 7.5 million dollars.
“This new and strong blow against drug trafficking has allowed this seizure and shows that the Territorial Control Plan continues to give positive results, under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele” — said the National Civil Police.
Rafael Ochoa Romero and Alberto Chevez Ortiz, both Salvadorans, were captured and will be prosecuted for the crime of drug trafficking.
This type of operation harshly combats the financial logistics of organized crime.
