UCA, the university, received $24 million from 2011 to 2020, according to a technical report from the Salvadoran Congress

The president of the Special Commission that Investigates the Allocation of Public Funds to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Salvadoran Congress, Alexia Rivas, detailed, based on technical reports, that the UCA received $24 million from 2011 to 2020.

According to the year-to-year report presented, the university received:

2011: $2,148,743

2012: $2,256,200

2013: $2,884,192

2014: $2,404,190

2015; $2,404,190

2016: $2,350,740

2017: $2,850,740

2018: $3,065,740

2019: $3,065,740

2020: $863,000

The rector of the UCA, Andreu Oliva, justified that the funds received by the institution, since 2011, were for the provision of services to the Ministry of Education. However, according to investigations by the commission, the money was received as a donation.
