The overpass at the Utila roundabout is one of the works included in the package of seven overpasses that the government plans to build in Greater San Salvador; these works are in high-traffic sectors to generate comprehensive solutions to the road problem, and it is one of the public works with which $1,510 million will be injected into the Salvadoran economy.

According to government authorities, the total investment for this emblematic work amounts to 6.3 million dollars.

In addition, the Salvadoran president will launch a package of overpasses to be built in the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador (AMSS) to boost the development and economy of the country.

“The majority of the population has not felt the benefits of economic growth. This year we decided to do two things: number one, further boost the economy; and number two, try to make the population feel the benefits of economic growth and ensure that we not only grow at the macro level, but also at the micro level. Let the families feel it, let the Salvadorans feel it, and let it be felt throughout the country” — as expressed in the above video by president Nayib Bukele.
