Salvadoran cuisine among the best 25 in the world

TasteAtlas has published their 2021 awards for the best cuisines in the world. El Salvador is among the best 25. The platform was founded in 2015 and was launched to the public in 2018. It aims to provide guidance to tourists so they can get the best experiences when visiting places around the world, allowing them to meaningfully engage with history, people, culture, the environment, and particularly food.

El Salvador was awarded 24th in the world. The best dishes were pupusas, which scored 4.9 out of 5 stars; sopa de gallina, which scored 4.8; and sopa de patas, which scored 4.7 stars.
