Salvadoran Luxury Footwear Steps into Japan: PALOMO Handcrafted Men’s Shoes Debut at Isetan Men’s.

As part of efforts to expand and diversify the country’s export footprint, the Embassy of El Salvador in Japan recently hosted an exclusive promotion event in Tokyo to showcase PALOMO, a premier Salvadoran brand specializing in fine handcrafted footwear for men. The two-day exhibition brought together buyers, media representatives, and members of the diplomatic corps to experience firsthand the brand’s exceptional design, premium materials, and meticulous craftsmanship.

Founded in 1953, PALOMO combines over seven decades of family tradition with artisanal expertise and meticulous attention to detail. Brand representative Roberto Palomo presented the project’s heritage during the event, highlighting its partnership with local distributor KANDY Ltd. to support the brand’s arrival and growth across the Japanese commercial market.

The luxury footwear line is already available in the men’s fashion department of Isetan Men’s, one of Tokyo’s most prestigious department stores, following an exclusive two-week launch presentation. This milestone underlines the rising international interest in Salvadoran high-end manufacturing and marks a strategic entry point into Asia’s competitive luxury landscape.

Highlighting the economic significance of the initiative, Salvadoran Ambassador to Japan Diego Dalton emphasized its potential to elevate national exports. “We aim to strengthen trade ties between companies in both nations and open doors for other Salvadoran brands. Through efforts like this, we aspire for the ‘Made in El Salvador’ label to be recognized as a benchmark of quality, trust, and excellence,” Dalton noted.
