El Salvador Expands Middle East Trade Presence with Specialty Coffee and Agro-Exports at GFW 2026.

El Salvador is accelerating its global commercial footprint by connecting its high-value agricultural production with dynamic markets in the Middle East and North Africa. Spearheaded by the Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its embassy in the United Arab Emirates, a national delegation set up a dedicated country pavilion at the Global Food Week (GFW 2026), held at the ADNEC center in Abu Dhabi from October 6 to 8.

The exhibition spotlighted El Salvador’s premium agro-industrial catalog, anchored by single-origin coffee beans cultivated in rich volcanic soils, fine cacao, processed chocolates, and customized industrial packaging. By presenting differentiated food products alongside supply chain services, the Salvadoran presence aimed to establish direct links with regional distributors, buyers, and international investors seeking top-tier Latin American commodities.

The initiative brought together strategic bilateral commerce players, including UAE-based Mayan Coffee Trading, which specializes in distributing Salvadoran specialty coffee across the region, and Tropical Agro, an exporter focused on tropical agricultural goods. Local firm Jeques showcased specialty coffee and gourmet offerings alongside Lebanese cuisine preparations, while Twentyfour Labels Printing contributed tailored industrial labeling and packaging solutions.

This targeted trade promotion underscores El Salvador’s strategic push to diversify export destinations and position its volcanic specialty crops within affluent international food and beverage markets.
