El Salvador is reinforcing its commitment to infrastructure development as the Road Conservation Fund (FOVIAL) hosts the IX Engineering Fair 2026. Under the banner “Let’s share our knowledge,” the annual congress brings together national leaders and international delegations from Costa Rica, Colombia, and Paraguay to exchange technical expertise and showcase modern techniques designed to elevate the standards of the country’s road network.
The forum serves as a critical knowledge hub, featuring eleven technical presentations focused on structural evaluations, advanced construction materials, and innovative execution methods. FOVIAL Executive Director Alexander Beltránemphasized the event’s role in fostering technical progress across the sector, noting, “We are celebrating our ninth engineering congress with the primary goal of sharing knowledge on new materials and techniques among construction companies and infrastructure institutions.”
Highlighting a unified strategy for national progress, the event brought together key government officials, including Public Works Minister Romeo Rodríguez and Vice Minister of Transportation Nelson Reyes, alongside key industry leaders from Casalco, the Salvadoran Asphalt Institute (ISA), and the Salvadoran Cement and Concrete Institute (Iscyc). This public-private synergy reflects El Salvador’s broader strategy to build sustainable economic momentum through robust, high-quality infrastructure investments.
Moving beyond mere technical exchange, the fair aims to establish long-term strategic trust throughout the construction industry. Iscyc Executive Director Karla Benítez highlighted the collaborative spirit driving the conference, stating, “This brings visibility to all of us working together for the integral development of the country. Beyond sharing technical knowledge, we foster relationships that move us from transactional interactions toward real trust and teamwork.”
