Former FC Barcelona Star Dani Alves Joins El Salvador’s MOPT Pedaleada in San Salvador’s Historic Center

Former FC Barcelona and Brazil international Dani Alves is set to join a major cycling celebration in El Salvador this Sunday, September 20, adding international football recognition to an event focused on sport and community participation.

According to Public Works Minister Romeo Rodríguez, Alves is inviting Salvadorans to take part in the cycling ride, scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m. at Plaza Gerardo Barrios in San Salvador.

The participation of the former Barcelona star brings additional international visibility to the event, connecting football and cycling in a public celebration designed to encourage active lifestyles and outdoor recreation.

The September 20 gathering will bring cycling enthusiasts and families together in the heart of San Salvador, reinforcing the country’s growing emphasis on sports and accessible recreational activities.
