President Nayib Bukele highlighted the transformation of educational facilities in El Salvador, emphasizing the importance of providing children with quality learning environments from their earliest years.
The newly improved school facilities now include playgrounds, recreational areas, a cafeteria, kitchen, renovated classrooms, bathrooms, and dedicated spaces for early childhood education. During a visit alongside First Lady Gabriela Bukele, the President underscored the role of early childhood development in preparing the next generation.
Bukele said the country’s educational modernization is intended to go beyond physical infrastructure. His administration has pointed to the incorporation of computers, school supplies, internet connectivity, and other technological resources as part of a broader effort to strengthen learning opportunities for students.
“Because they are the future of our country,” Bukele said while referring to the importance of giving children quality education from an early age. He also emphasized that improved infrastructure and technology must be accompanied by students’ own commitment to learning.
“We’re not just going to have first-class streets, schools, early childhood education, computers, and school supply kits, but education for all children,” the President stated, urging students to work hard, study, and continue learning throughout their education.
The approach places early childhood education, modern school infrastructure, and technology at the center of El Salvador’s stated efforts to prepare children for the future, with the goal of expanding access to better educational conditions from the earliest stages of development.
