El Salvador is taking a major step forward in modernizing its educational landscape. Through a joint initiative by the National Institute of Training and Instruction (INCAF), the Ministry of Education (Mineducyt), and tech academy Kodigo, 169 technical education teachers successfully completed the Digital Transformation for Technical Teachingprogram, equipping them with cutting-edge technological competencies to prepare future generations.
Representing 64 public educational institutions across the country, the educators completed 240 hours of intensive virtual training from January to July. The comprehensive curriculum focused on practical, high-demand skills including Artificial Intelligence, Prompt Engineering, process automation with n8n, AI agents, educational evaluation, and web application development, establishing a new standard for technology-driven classroom instruction.
Educational leaders emphasized the long-term strategic value of upskilling the nation’s academic workforce to keep pace with rapid global innovation. “You form part of a select group in our country that is truly serving as the spearhead of a strategy that aims to bet on technological education,” noted Jaime López from the Ministry of Education during the ceremony.
The initiative highlights El Salvador’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its human capital and expanding digital capabilities at all levels of learning. As INCAF President Rebeca Parker emphasized, “the development of a country begins with the development of its people. When we strengthen the capacities of those who train our youth, we are investing in opportunities that transcend the classroom.”
