El Salvador’s efforts to transform its public education system are attracting international interest, with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) recognizing the progress of the country’s “Two Schools a Day” project and expressing interest in supporting its expansion.
Rashaid Al-Bader, acting director of KFAED, visited two schools in San Salvador to observe firsthand the impact of the initiative, which seeks to progressively renovate, rebuild, and modernize public schools throughout El Salvador.
During the visits, Al-Bader highlighted the importance of investing in children as the future leaders of the country and praised the progress achieved through the government’s education infrastructure program. He also expressed KFAED’s willingness to explore ways of contributing to the initiative and supporting the modernization of El Salvador’s school system.
The visits formed part of broader efforts to strengthen cooperation between El Salvador and the Kuwait Fund through development projects focused on improving the well-being of the Salvadoran population.
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Adriana Mira accompanied the delegation and emphasized the potential of the partnership with KFAED, describing the institution as a new development partner for El Salvador. The collaboration comes shortly after the signing of a financing agreement for the installation of a solar power plant in El Salvador, expanding the areas of cooperation between both sides.
Mira noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with El Salvador’s embassies and consulates abroad, has helped establish new international partnerships to support the country’s development priorities.
The interest shown by KFAED adds another international dimension to El Salvador’s ongoing education transformation, as the government works to improve school infrastructure and provide students with modern learning environments across the country.
