El Salvador is reinforcing its regional security partnerships as part of a broader effort to combat organized crime and drug trafficking across borders.
During a forum of the Americas Coalition Against Cartels (A3C) in Panama, El Salvador’s Minister of Justice and Public Security, Gustavo Villatoro, participated alongside Defense Minister René Francis Merino Monroy to exchange experiences and strengthen coordination with regional allies.
The meeting provided an opportunity to advance joint strategies against criminal networks whose operations extend beyond national boundaries. El Salvador emphasized the importance of international cooperation, intelligence sharing, and coordinated action in addressing these threats.
Under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, El Salvador continues to promote stronger security alliances and share its experience in combating organized crime, with the objective of contributing to a safer and more secure Central America and the wider region.
