El Salvador has expanded its commercial infrastructure with the opening of the new Usulután Wholesale Market, a renovated facility designed to improve wholesale trade and provide access to a broader range of products at competitive prices.
The Ministry of Public Works led the renovation and modernization of the former municipal market, transforming the site into a more functional wholesale distribution center equipped with sales stalls, loading areas and docks, cold-storage facilities, and a dedicated seafood washing area.
The upgraded infrastructure is now open to wholesalers, providing a modern environment designed to facilitate the handling, storage, and distribution of food and other essential products.
The project is expected to strengthen commercial activity in Usulután by improving logistical conditions for wholesale suppliers while helping businesses access a wider variety of products at affordable prices.
The modernization of the market forms part of ongoing efforts to improve public infrastructure and create more efficient spaces that support local commerce and contribute to regional economic activity.
