Following a powerful earthquake in Colombia, El Salvador has offered immediate emergency and medical assistance to support relief operations. President Nayib Bukele confirmed via social media that his government is closely monitoring the situation as Colombia’s own emergency units respond to the disaster on the ground.
“Our prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives, with the injured, and with all Colombians going through difficult times today,” Bukele expressed, highlighting Central America’s solidarity with the South American nation.
While acknowledging Colombia’s strong capacity to manage the crisis, Bukele emphasized that El Salvador remains in direct communication and prepared to act. Salvadoran rescue crews, doctors, paramedics, and emergency supplies are on standby to deploy as soon as requested.
“El Salvador is ready to support immediately with anything our Colombian brothers consider necessary,” Bukele added, reiterating the strong diplomatic bond between the two nations during times of regional crisis.
