Apulo Recreational Park has officially received El Salvador’s Family Friendly Seal, becoming one of the latest destinations recognized for providing safe, accessible, and inclusive spaces designed to enhance the experience of families and visitors of all ages.

The certification is part of the national initiative led by First Lady Gabriela de Bukele, in coordination with the Crecer Juntos Institute and the Ministry of Tourism, to encourage higher standards of accessibility, safety, and family-oriented services across the country.
With the addition of Apulo Recreational Park, 37 destinations, establishments, services, and events now hold the Family Friendly Seal, reflecting El Salvador’s continued efforts to strengthen family tourism and improve the quality of public and private recreational spaces.
The recognition has also been awarded to Plaza Futura, located within the World Trade Center San Salvador, for meeting accessibility and family well-being standards. Likewise, the Tazumal, Casa Blanca, and Cihuatán archaeological parks have earned the distinction by offering accessible tours, child-friendly areas, and services designed for visitors of all ages.

Through this initiative, the Government of El Salvador continues to promote tourism environments that prioritize inclusion, accessibility, and safety, reinforcing the country’s growing portfolio of family-oriented destinations while supporting the broader vision of making El Salvador an increasingly welcoming destination for both domestic and international visitors.
