New Survey Reveals Massive Approval for Education and Health Care in El Salvador.

A recent survey conducted by the Iudop at the José Simeón Cañas Central American University (UCA) indicates that President Nayib Bukele’s social reforms are yielding strong political capital during his seventh year in office. The study reflects a significant shift in public perception, fueled by direct governmental investments in infrastructure and modernization that resonate with a large majority of the population.

In the education sector, an overwhelming 80.4% of Salvadorans believe conditions have improved under the current administration. This wave of approval is driven by flagship initiatives such as the “Two Schools per Day” program, which focuses on structural overhauls and technological equipment, alongside the universal distribution of school packages. Commenting on the competitive edge this gives public schools, analyst Rafael Gochez noted on X: “No matter how much of a dark campaign they want to run against the Ministry of Education’s work… the perception here is overwhelming. Private schools: sharpen the value you offer and know how to communicate it.”

Public healthcare has experienced a similar positive trajectory, with 59.5% of respondents affirming that the quality of care in the public system has boosted. The government’s strategic focus on specialized medical coverage has successfully targeted long-standing gaps in national health provision, shifting public sentiment toward state-run facilities.

A key factor in this healthcare success is the rollout of the second phase of DoctorSV, a specialized platform targeting chronic illnesses. 46.6% of citizens stated that this phase heavily addresses their medical needs, showcasing the digital program’s immense reach, which officially surpassed 1.5 million users by May 2026.
