El Salvador is rapidly elevating its global export portfolio by introducing high-end goods to competitive international markets. In a strategic move to position the country as a hub for premium manufacturing, Vodka Mizata—a Salvadoran super-premium spirit—was officially showcased to Dutch liquor industry executives, distributors, and representatives from the hotel, restaurant, and cafe (HORECA) sectors in The Netherlands.

The exclusive tasting and business matchmaking event was orchestrated by the Salvadoran Diplomatic Mission in the Netherlands, alongside the El Salvador–Netherlands Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Distribuidora Salvadoreña (DISAL), the brand’s developer. Named after one of El Salvador’s renowned coastal surf destinations, Vodka Mizata represents a new wave of national products engineered to compete directly in elite global markets.
During the presentation, European buyers explored the unique production process and commercial potential of the spirit, aiming to establish future trade alliances. “This type of event projects a modern image of the country and showcases the capacity of Salvadoran companies to develop competitive products with international standards,” noted Agustín Vásquez, the Salvadoran Ambassador to the Netherlands.

The diplomatic push is expected to yield concrete commercial agreements soon, expanding El Salvador’s economic footprint in Western Europe. According to Ambassador Vásquez, promoting national brands in strategic territories “contributes to expanding export opportunities and generating new commercial connections that translate into direct benefits for our economy.”
