As President Nayib Bukele marks his seventh year in office, his administration highlighted a major healthcare milestone with the delivery of the New Rosales Hospital, one of the most ambitious medical infrastructure projects in El Salvador’s history.
Rather than focusing solely on commemorative speeches, the government showcased a modern facility designed to transform public healthcare by providing access to more than 40 medical specialties. The hospital will offer services in internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, neurology, nephrology, gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and many other fields.
The new medical center will also strengthen the country’s capacity to handle highly complex cases through specialized units dedicated to cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, oncological surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, clinical genetics, nuclear medicine, hematology, and bone marrow transplantation.
Government officials describe the project as part of a broader national strategy that has focused on improving security, boosting economic development, expanding educational opportunities, and modernizing healthcare services. According to President Bukele, the New Rosales Hospital will bring advanced technology and specialized treatments closer to Salvadoran families, helping provide comprehensive care for thousands of patients each year.
The opening of the facility represents another step in El Salvador’s ongoing efforts to modernize public services and improve quality of life through investments in strategic sectors that directly benefit the population.
