El Salvador has unveiled the New Rosales Hospital, a landmark project that merges the restoration of one of the nation’s most historic medical institutions with the construction of a modern healthcare complex equipped for the future. The initiative preserves the architectural and cultural heritage of the original Rosales Hospital while significantly expanding the country’s capacity to provide advanced medical care.

As part of the project, the historic chapel, gardens, and heritage buildings were restored to address decades of deterioration and improve safety conditions. The preservation effort ensures that one of El Salvador’s most emblematic institutions remains an important part of the country’s cultural legacy while continuing to serve future generations.
Alongside the restoration, a new hospital tower has been developed with state-of-the-art equipment, advanced technology, and specialized medical services. Together, the historic structures and modern facilities form an integrated healthcare complex designed to provide comprehensive care at the highest standards.
President Nayib Bukele highlighted the government’s commitment to bringing world-class healthcare to Salvadorans, noting that the hospital has recruited highly qualified medical specialists, including international experts in advanced fields of medicine. Officials emphasized that expanding access to top-tier medical knowledge and technology will allow patients to receive treatments that were previously unavailable within the country.
Health authorities describe the New Rosales Hospital as a transformative project that not only strengthens El Salvador’s healthcare system but also establishes a model for future hospital developments. With its combination of historic preservation, cutting-edge infrastructure, and specialized medical services, the facility represents one of the most significant public health investments in the nation’s history.
