El Salvador is continuing to strengthen its environmental conservation efforts as the Ministry of Public Works advances a new phase of its nationwide reforestation campaign. Authorities announced that additional trees are being relocated and planted at Bicentennial Park, while new tree-planting activities are scheduled to take place across the country throughout the weekend.
As part of the #MOPVerde initiative, government teams and volunteers will participate in reforestation events on May 30 and 31, planting trees and distributing plants cultivated in state-run nurseries. The program aims to increase green spaces, promote environmental awareness, and contribute to the restoration of ecosystems in both urban and rural areas.
The Ministry of Public Works has invited citizens to join the tree-planting activities at Bicentennial Park, highlighting the importance of community participation in building a greener and more sustainable future. Officials emphasized that every tree planted contributes to improving air quality, protecting biodiversity, and enhancing public spaces for future generations.
The ongoing campaign reflects El Salvador’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development, complementing broader efforts to improve public infrastructure while preserving natural resources. Through initiatives such as #MOPVerde, authorities seek to encourage greater civic engagement in conservation projects that benefit communities nationwide.
