Bukele Government Makes School Supply Delivery Possible for More Than 1,900 Dual-Nationality Children in Morazán Norte

Karla E. Trigueros delivered 1,900 school supply kits to students with dual Salvadoran and Honduran nationality living in the former enclaves of Perquín, in Morazán Norte, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen access to education in remote communities.

The initiative forms part of the educational programs promoted by the government of Nayib Bukele to support students across the public school system and ensure equal educational opportunities regardless of geographic location.

During the event, hundreds of children carrying Salvadoran flags gathered alongside families and local authorities in a celebration marked by patriotism and community spirit. Officials emphasized that the delivery of school supplies represents both educational support and continued government engagement with families living in historically isolated areas.

The Ministry of Education stated that the distribution aims to help students begin the academic cycle with essential materials while reinforcing inclusion and educational development in border-region communities.

The activity also reflected the growing integration of Salvadoran families in the former enclaves, where children with dual nationality continue participating in the country’s public education system and national initiatives focused on social development and opportunity expansion.
