El Salvador’s Surf City Attracts Growing Multi-Million Dollar Investments

The government of President Nayib Bukele continues to promote investment and tourism development, as officials conducted a site visit to the Ocean Breeze resort project located on Mizata Beach.

The visit reflects the administration’s ongoing efforts to support emerging investments across key sectors such as construction and tourism, both of which have experienced significant growth in recent years. During the visit, authorities also witnessed the launch of the resort’s membership program.

Vice President Félix Ulloa emphasized that the government remains focused on improving the business climate by streamlining administrative procedures, reducing bureaucracy, and creating incentives that attract both local and international investors.

Tourism Minister Morena Valdez highlighted the rapid expansion of the tourism sector, noting that El Salvador welcomed 4.1 million international visitors in 2025, a significant increase from previous years. She also reported that early 2026 has already set new records for visitor arrivals, reinforcing the country’s growing appeal as a global destination.

The Ocean Breeze development, led by the Corven Group, represents an investment of approximately $80 million and is designed as a mixed-use project combining residential, hospitality, and commercial spaces. According to company president Marco Zablah, the project includes apartment towers, private residences, a hotel with more than 170 rooms, and retail and recreational amenities.

Authorities, including representatives from the San Salvador Metropolitan Area Planning Office, underscored the importance of such developments in boosting economic activity and strengthening infrastructure along the country’s coastline.

With projects like Ocean Breeze, El Salvador continues advancing its strategy to attract investment, expand tourism offerings, and drive sustainable growth across its coastal regions.
