The United States has reiterated its commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations with El Salvador as the nation celebrates its 204th Independence Day.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized the enduring partnership between both nations, noting the joint vision of Presidents Donald Trump and Nayib Bukele. “The bond between the United States and El Salvador has never been stronger. Under the leadership of Presidents Trump and Bukele, both nations are paving the way for a more prosperous future,” Rubio stated in his congratulatory message to the Salvadoran people.
The message highlights the growing cooperation between Washington and San Salvador in areas of security, investment, and regional stability. Officials in both governments have pointed to recent advances in trade opportunities, infrastructure development, and migration agreements as tangible results of this strengthened alliance.
As El Salvador marks 204 years of independence, the reaffirmed U.S. support underscores the country’s rising role as a strategic partner in Central America.
