Armored Vehicles Maker Eyes Factory in El Salvador.

El Salvador continues to attract foreign investors as STREIT Group, a global leader in armored vehicle manufacturing, completed its first trade mission to the country this week. Gerardo Pérez, El Salvador’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, confirmed the visit on his official X account, noting that the company is evaluating the possibility of establishing a production plant in the country.

Founded in the UAE, STREIT Group operates more than 12 production facilities worldwide, employs over 2,000 people, and has invested more than $100 million in the Gulf region. During its visit, the company held meetings with the Ministry of Security, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economy, and Invest in El Salvador to explore avenues of cooperation and development.

Thanks to the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, our country has become an attractive destination for investors due to its climate of security, favorable investment environment, attractive tax incentives, and strategic location with access to multiple markets, Pérez wrote. He added that the interest from a company with a strong presence in the Gulf reflects a growing confidence among international investors in El Salvador’s stability and opportunities for innovation.
