Salvadoran Students to Study Nuclear Energy and AI in China with Government Support.

In a gesture of friendship and cooperation, 35 Salvadoran students were awarded undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships by the Government of the People’s Republic of China. The beneficiaries will pursue academic training in fields such as nuclear energy, artificial intelligence, medicine, and cyber intelligence.

The symbolic ceremony took place at the National Library of El Salvador (BINAES) and was presided over by Deputy Foreign Minister Adriana Mira, China’s Chargé d’Affaires Ma Ning, ESCOS director Karla de Palacios, presidential adviser Raymundo Villalta, and director Salvador Gómez.

A special achievement noted during the event was that three of the recipients discovered this opportunity and received guidance through the CUBO community centers in Milagro de la Paz and Zacamil. These spaces, officials highlighted, continue transforming lives and offering hope.

This cooperation reaffirms the growing ties of friendship between El Salvador and China while opening new doors for Salvadoran youth to build a future filled with opportunities.
