Luis Rodríguez, Executive Director of the Council of Mayors and Planning Office of the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador, announced on his X account that a technical supervision was carried out together with CASALCO for the Origin Project, a large-scale development in La Libertad Este led by Sforma with an investment exceeding $45 million.
According to Rodríguez, Origin is not just a single initiative but part of a broader short-term investment portfolio that includes two additional projects valued at approximately $160 million. In the long term, the vision is to expand these efforts to surpass $2 billion in new developments, which are already under analysis.
Rodríguez underlined the project’s economic impact, stating that “Origin is a powerful job generator, which will reach more than 600 positions.” The development is expected to contribute to local growth by creating new employment opportunities, strengthening the construction sector, and boosting confidence in El Salvador’s investment climate.
The project reflects the government and private sector’s shared interest in accelerating urban development and positioning La Libertad Este as a hub for future large-scale projects that can transform the metropolitan area.
