The president of El Salvador’s Tourism Institute (ISTU), Eny Aguiñada, announced a $7 million investment in the renovation of the Costa del Sol recreational park, a move aimed at strengthening national tourism and providing high-quality spaces for Salvadoran families.
“We want to elevate public investments so they are better than the private ones, just as our president has said,” Aguiñada stated during an interview on Canal 10. She emphasized that national recreational parks are excellent options for family outings. “They offer healthy entertainment, where families can enjoy an alcohol- and tobacco-free environment,” she explained.
As part of broader efforts to boost domestic tourism, Aguiñada revealed that ISTU is organizing special activities across recreational parks for the upcoming August holidays. She also announced the inauguration of a new tourism terminal in San Sebastián, San Vicente. “It will be a space where people can learn about San Sebastián’s history,” she said, noting that visitors will even have the opportunity to experience hammock-making. “In August, people will be able to visit this new space,” she added.
